Miss Thompson, affectionately known as "Tommy gun" was the Headmistress, she was the scary one in my opinion-I always remember her hairy legs! Sometimes she took us for lessons if a teacher was off sick-I was so scared in those lessons as she used to pick on people rather than letting you put your hand up!
Mr Farghar, I don't think he was ever our form teacher but he always took us for French lessons about half an hour a week-we went through these cheap looking pamphlets. He was a nice man but very deaf.He was the only male teacher-I always remember him having his own private W.C. next to the girls toilets!
Mrs Ellis, I think she had a northern accent and we had her for class 2- remember her having a screechy type of voice but she was a lovely person and everybody liked her.
Mrs Griggs(in the class photo) was my first teacher-I do believe she was also our form teacher on two occasions-all I can remember is that she was very popular with the kids and we all liked her!
Mrs. Lyth, She was probably everyone's favourite of all time, she started as Miss Jenkins and after the summer holidays we were told Miss Jenkins had left and Mrs. Lyth has replaced her-baffled my young mind for a while and then it clicked! Always remember our afternoon story sessions reading the C.S. Lewis series and we just had to buy the book to follow the series-I think we got to "Voyage of the Dawn Treader"-think that's what it was called. I remember her saying she lived in Fant Lane and didn't have a T.V-spookily enough I live in that lane now!
Mrs Scott, she was another one that got married and was formerly Miss Paulsey(think that's how you spell it. She was great as Miss Paulsey but most people thought she changed when she became Mrs. Scott. My main memory of her was when she assisted me with my broken arm-I was really scared and she was very comforting to me.
